The three at the very top are: Stila Bud, Youngblood Peony, Youngblood Plumberry.
If you are a makeup artist or a blush aficionado, you need La Femme blushes in your life. Simply put, they are exceptional, and in my humble opinion, rival Mac & Nars (and any other high end brand you can think of) in terms of pigmentation, staying power, and price.
La Femme supply to the likes of Ben Nye, private labelling blushes and eyeshadows to many companies, who then slap a huge mark up on the finished product. Being kept a makeup artist and industry insider secret for years, La Femme are now available to buy in refill pan form for the grand price of . . . £2.99 each!
For a whopping 5.5g of product (which trust me, you are never going to get through in two lifetimes), £2.99 is well worth the investment. These blushes are addictive – the colours (48 shades to choose from), the pay off, the lasting power – all add up to something any rightminded artist or cosmetic junkie must have in their collection. No doubt about it.
Here I have swatched them with flash, in doors (click to enlarge):
From left to right: Golden Sunset, Peach, Crystal Cafe, Coral, Frambosia, Orchid Ice, Stormy Rose, Pink Flamingo.
And here I have swatched them outdoors, in natural light:
The snob in all of us tells us that something costing £2.99 could not possibly rival something costing between £16-£23 (Mac & Nars prices, respectively). But sometimes, that little snobby voice needs to be silenced, because in this case, La Femme blushes are in every which way superior to their supposed ‘higher end’ counterparts.
